Jaleh is the Founder and Executive Director of W4SG. Jaleh a passion for connecting and engaging across cultures and sectors as well as grounding her work in academic knowledge. She completed her BA in Political Science at Bates College, was a Research Fellow at Durham University and holds a MSc in Development Studies at Lund University. Her research themes include religion, gender and politics in the Middle East. Her most recent publications include two chapters in academic publications about politics in contemporary Iran, published by Routledge Press. Jaleh is passionate about promoting women’s leadership and empowerment and has spearheaded a number of events around these and other related topics. She is a Co-Founder and the former President of the Scandinavian Chapter of 85 Broads and her work as Founder and Director of W4SG has received recognition from women’s business networks, national newspapers and notably, the Crown Princess of Sweden. She is also a W4SG Board Member and Deputy Board Member of the European Iran Research Group (EIRG). She is a 100 World of Difference Award Recipient from The International Alliance of Women, Georgetown University, Washington DC. The TIAW World of Difference 100 Award recognizes women – and men – who have made a significant contribution to the economic empowerment of women globally.
